This Kalipuja…started ‘lighting up’ the house with these tiny tealights at first..graduated to small candles..then went overboard. Then bowed our heads to Ma Kali in one of the ‘para’ pandels…came back home..and true to my every-occassion-needs-a-foodie-intervention nature..made what is called a ‘Khoba Roti’ with palaak paneer. My particular fondness to Khoba roti owes it to its ‘khobas’ or the indenting done on the surface of the roti so that the maximum amount of ‘ghee’ possible can be retained and held in the rotis. Yum and slurp. There you go…i described my food in more words than i described Diwali or Kali Puja. Hope the Goddess wont mind too much..after all She made me like this.
