Bombay Duck

Bombay Duck was originally pronounced as Bombay Daak (Bombay Mail in English)…when it used to arrive in Calcutta for the Viceroy all the way from Bombay via train…

Loutey machh (Bombay Duck) in the making…why is Bombay Duck double the price we pay in Kolkata when we buy em in Bombay? Actually it is 4 times costlier! Strange!

Foodie health tip of the day

Don’t Drink Sugar Calories… This is because liquid sugar calories don’t get registered by the brain in the same way as calories from solid foods.

Food safety tip of the day…

Use a food thermometer when cooking… A food thermometer should be used to ensure that food is safely cooked and that cooked food is held at safe temperatures until eaten.
