Here is a very simple way of making absolutely yummy yet healthy steamed fish! I used Bhetki fish here (fresh, not frozen) but a better option would be the sea bass if it is avaialable to you.

The recipe:
Ingredients needed are , a whole fish (without bones and with a neutral smell), ginger julienned, spring onions , any white oil, salt to rub.
Method: clean the fish thoroughly and rub salt on it, make slits on the fish including a large slit in its tummy. Fill in the slits with julienned ginger and spring onions like in the image below and coat the fish with enough white oil. Now steam the fish for about half hour and it’s done !! Enjoy 😊

Foodie health tip of the day

Don’t Drink Sugar Calories… This is because liquid sugar calories don’t get registered by the brain in the same way as calories from solid foods.

Food safety tip of the day…

Use a food thermometer when cooking… A food thermometer should be used to ensure that food is safely cooked and that cooked food is held at safe temperatures until eaten.
